The NSS Unit of Crescent College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Madayipara, organized a Blood Donation Awareness Programme on 10 July 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall, Pharm D Block. The programme aimed to educate students about the importance of voluntary blood donation and to motivate them to become regular blood donors.

The awareness session was led by Mr. Fazal Chalad, State Vice President of Blood Donors Kerala (BDK). He delivered an informative talk on the need for safe blood, donor eligibility criteria, the health benefits of blood donation, and the vital role of voluntary donors in saving lives during emergencies. He also addressed common misconceptions about blood donation and encouraged students to actively participate in future blood donation camps.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The interactive session helped increase awareness, inspired students to contribute to society through voluntary blood donation, and successfully promoted the message “Donate Blood, Save Lives.” The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person and all the participants for making the event a success.
